Frequently Asked Questions about Body Positive, Inc.
I am in crisis, what should I do?
If you feel that you are in crisis at the moment and need help right now with a physical or psychological problem, you should take immediate action such as by calling 911 or visiting a hospital emergency room. Where can I find general information about HIV/AIDS?
There is an enormous body of information available about HIV/AIDS on the Internet, so much so that it can be overwhelming. We suggest two strategies. One would be to do a general search, through a portal such as www.yahoo.com or www.google.com. If you try this approach, be sure to be as absolutely specific as you can in the words you search, or you may be overwhelmed with irrelevant information. Another good strategy is to visit the comprehensive HIV/AIDS website www.thebody.com and follow their clearly marked links to the specific information you are seeking. You can also receive general information about HIV/AIDS by calling the the toll-free Body Positive Helpline at 1-800-566-6599 (Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm) or another HIV/AIDS Hotline.
