Volunteers Needed
"I believe all Americans who believe in freedom, tolerance and human rights
have a responsibility to oppose bigotry and prejudice based on sexual
orientation", Coretta Scott King (1927-2006)
Body Positive is looking for volunteers to assist us with our HIV/AIDS programs. Volunteers are needed as:
Helpline Counselors, Receptionists, Fund Raisers, Benefits Counselors, Data Entry Clerks, and Event Assistants.
Help people to help themselves!
How to Become a Volunteer
Body Positive is a volunteer organization. Volunteers provide many of BP's services. Many people who volunteer also participate in our programs. People volunteer for different reasons: they want to "give something back," they would like to help others, etc
Sharing hopes, expertise and energy promotes empowerment.
It's easy to volunteer at Body Positive. After filling out an information form and meeting with someone from our volunteer department, new volunteers are individually assigned and trained. Volunteers are carefully matched with positions based on their skills and interests, and the needs of the agency. All volunteers are trained
If you are interested in volunteering, or in finding out more about being a volunteer, please contact Christopher Murphy.
